A few years ago I had finished school, and I was ready to make something happen. I wanted to write every design company on the planet, and send in my resume. This seemed like what needed to be done. I would come home from my one interview a week only to check the empty answering machine to find out no one had called back.
I finally got high-speed internet back in 2007 . I was looking forward to being able to email companies and introduce myself as the artist they had been looking for. All was going as planned and then the strangest thing happened to me. While I was making my bio, I went onto a corporate website to get some border patterns, and a lightbulb went on in my head. If everytime I downloaded a picture from this website, and it cost me $1.00, what does the original artist get? I looked into it further. I looked up the submission process policies for this website, and to my suprize it tells me that the artist is paid EVERYTIME someone downloads his artpiece.
I thought...
